ABOUT US
Ezra Uganda Assistance (EUA) is an entirely volunteer-run non-profit organization of American Jews supporting and raising awareness of the Abayudaya: the Jews of eastern Uganda. EUA focuses particularly on the Jewish community in the town of Namutumba, Uganda. EUA builds and improves local infrastructure; facilitates easier access to clean running water, electricity, food, and preventative medicine; provides secular and Jewish educational materials; helps to fund community members' schooling; and donates start-up money for sustainable agricultural projects and community business ventures.
As a volunteer-run, low-overhead organization, EUA invests the vast majority of donations right back into the helping the Abayudaya in Namutumba. To learn more about our completed and current projects, click here.
